EVANGELISATION WITH A DIFFERENCE!
You could say that again! On the 3rd Sunday of Advent, I was on my way to the Westminster Central Hall for their yearly beautiful Carol service. As I was too early to meet up with my friend, I walked along by the London Eye. Two young ladies approached me and asked if I would come with them for a ride on the London eye! As they were only 16 they had to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Something they did not know. In fact there were 6 of them. I am not sure what made me say ‘yes’, but I went with them.
As we were in those beautiful ‘bubbles’ looking at the lights of London, one of them asked me if I had children. I eventually told them that I was a Nun! ‘What! A live Nun!’ exclaimed a few. ‘Well better than a dead one,’ I said. From then on, they no longer looked at the sights of London, but wanted to know more and more about my life as a sister. Like how does God call you? Is it a difficult life? Is it difficult not to have a husband and children? When I told them that I was a teacher and had lots of children, they were even more surprised. They had just done their mock GCSE and that was their special outing, given to them by their parents. Two of them were originally from Armenia. They came to Great Britain because of the political situation. All of them live in St. Alban.
We had such a wonderful ride on the London eye. It taught me that evangelization can happen anywhere if we grasp the opportunity.
I do wish these six young ladies God’s blessings on their lives.

EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS
Prep School in Kingston
Mission Statement for Holy Cross Preparatory School:
"The Holy Cross Preparatory School is a Catholic School, under the Trusteeship of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, which provides a Christian Education in which the worship of God, Gospel values and an awareness of other faiths and sensitivity to others are central to school life. In the spirit of St. Francis, the School is a caring community which enables each person to realise their full potential: spiritually, academically, personally and physically. To achieve this, the School welcomes all faiths and works in partnership with parents, teachers and children to develop the God-given gifts of each person."
On 1st February 2023 Holy Cross Prep School became a separate Charity, but retains the Holy Cross Charism and Spirituality.
