JUSTICE AND PEACE

Sisters are involved in the National Justice & Peace Organisations - working collaboratively for the just treatment of peoples and the environment, both here in the UK and across the globe.

‘THERE IS NO PEACE WITHOUT JUSTICE’

I am a member of the J & P group in our parish at Tollington Park. The group meets once a month to plan activities within the area, such as knife crime, peace vigils, and food bank collections. We organise meetings to discuss how we can work for the abolition of  world debts in the poorer countries of the world.
I have joined various marches to show solidarity with the victims, for Palestinians, Ukrainians and Russians and many others. These marches are usually made up of Multi-Faith groups, and we walk under the banner of Christians for Justice or with the Pax Christi UK.

Each month, I go to the Home Office for a Prayer Vigil remembering those Migrants and Asylum seekers who die on there long journeys to the UK.
I have recently booked myself into the Justice &Peace conference to be held in Swanwick, Derbyshire at the end of July, 2025. I will represent our congregation at this conference.
Let us continue to pray for Peace in our world, and to be a presence in our different situations, with love and peace in our hearts, -  refusing to act with violence, aggression or hate.
